Materials We Work With

At Kristek, we machine a wide range of materials to meet the demands of Aerospace, Defence, and Industrial OEMs. Whether you require consistent performance from aluminium parts or complex geometries in high-temperature alloys, our experience and process control deliver the reliability production buyers need.

Commonly Machined Materials

We specialise in both ferrous and non-ferrous materials, as well as engineering plastics for specialist applications. Regularly machined materials include:

  • Aluminium – including 6082, 7075, and aerospace grades

  • Stainless Steel – such as 303, 304, 316, and 17-4 PH

  • Tool Steels – including D2, O1, and other hardened grades

  • Titanium & Inconel – ideal for high-strength and high-temperature environments

  • Brass & Copper – for electrical and thermal applications

  • Engineering Plastics – including acetal, nylon, PEEK, and PTFE

Certification & Traceability

If required, materials sourced by Kristek can be supplied with full material certification, providing full traceability.

We operate robust batch-level traceability from material receipt through to final delivery, including:

  • Unique batch ID tracking

  • Material certs linked to job records

  • Archival of certs for long-term compliance (e.g. 20+ years for Aerospace)

If your parts require full traceable builds or are subject to customer-specific requirements (e.g. Rolls-Royce SABRe, AS9102), we can tailor our documentation and traceability processes accordingly.

Material related FAQ’s

What materials do you not work with?2025-09-09T11:12:16+01:00

We are unable to work with Carbon Fiber, or Timer / Wood. These materials have extraction and handling requirements, which we do not have.

What materials can you work with?2025-09-09T11:10:41+01:00

We have extensive experience machining a wide range of materials, including:

  • Aluminium
  • Stainless steel
  • Tool steel
  • Titanium and Inconel
  • Brass and copper
  • Engineering plastics

If you have a specific grade in mind, just ask—we can likely machine it.
